Executive Coaching

Executive Coaching has created something of a buzz in the UK. Long established in the US, this phenomenon has now become an accepted part of an employee’s benefits package within many corporate environments. Having been only available to the senior level in a company, we are working hard to encourage our clients to open up this service to all employees. Hamilton Reeves believe coaching is a critical process that helps organisations to foster an open and honest culture, where individuals are encouraged to take responsibility, ask for help and be coached through their mistakes in order to learn. As a development tool, it is worth remembering that many Senior Managers of tomorrow might be just starting out their career and currently working on the production line, in the accounts department or as a graduate trainee.

Executive coaching is normally sought when a senior manager has already started to fail and it is used as a last resort to assist them to revive their motivation and make some progress. At Hamilton Reeves we believe this is just the start of what coaching can deliver and if used as part of your management development time, can be put to stronger effect. As a regular tool for feedback, learning and development, coaching will enhance your talent management strategy and your recruitment and retention. Managers who have received coaching tend to have a higher level of focus, engagement and drive. Through regular review sessions, your management will remain targeted, objective driven and goal oriented.

As part of our recruitment offering, we provide an initial team coaching session to understand the dynamics within your team and then with your input, build a profile for the new recruit. This is a key element of our search process and our qualified coaching team will utilise a combination of assessment tools, which incorporate psychometrics and personal profiling tests, to ensure the prospective shortlist fits the bill.

Post recruitment, we utilise the coaching process by building it into the executive on-boarding. By supporting your new manager in their new role, we ensure a smooth integration into your team and a strong start to their career within your organisation.
